First Trailer For Marvel's Captain Marvel Debuts

Today is a day that Marvel movie fans have been waiting for ever since Thanos' fateful snap at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. The movie going public was treated to a rather startling end credit scene in which we see former SHIELD director Nick Fury fading away. But not before sending out an S.O.S. to one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel universe-Captain Marvel.

Marvel fanatics had been teased about what role Captain Marvel would play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for months. They had been subjected to leaks, rumors, and teaser photos. Today, America got its first look at the newest hero to enter the MCU with the debut of the first trailer for next Summer's Captain Marvel.

There's still a lot that we don't know about the movie considering this is the first official trailer. Captain Marvel isn't set to debut until March of 2019, so it's likely we'll see more in the coming months. We do know, however, that Captain Marvel is not an origin story. We also know that it takes place in the 90s, and we're treated to a much younger Nick Fury (with two eyes). I've heard it described as a prequel for Infinity War 2.

I will definitely be sitting front and center for this movie when it comes out.
